Jeez! As if it's been three months since I last posted on here.

Stressful, stressful month is still stressful. There are redundancies in my department, well, just the one. I should be fine, stat wise I'm towards the top of the lab staff but it's still fucking horrific that after a month we still haven't found out.

I started looking for other work though, just to be on the safe side and I found somewhere in Missassauga, Ontario <3

It looks PERFECT! I know what they say, if something looks too good to be true, it usually is. I'm waiting to hear back from the HR department regarding the salary. I know a guy who lives in St Catherines, which isn't too far away, and he was saying if it's around $40,000 to $50,000 a year, then I'll be able to live comfortably on my own. That's pretty much what I'm paid now anyway and I'm definitely living comfortably in the UK.

I'm just confused as hell about the leasing over there, a place that's $1000 a month is more expensive, potentially, than somewhere that's $1500 because that might include utilities over the cheaper rental place. IT'S TOO MUCH ADULTING!

However, Star Wars tonight! I've managed to avoid spoilers, I've hidden anyone who talks about it on facebook, and I've been off work all week, so I've been anti-social on purpose, just so I don't overhear anything. I'm like a 1930s police state, oppressing public opinions since December 16th 2015.
