I don't know if this makes you feel better or not but two of my ten piercings are rooks. And they hurt so f**king bad!!!!! My nips, which I had done later, were easy too but I had a different piercer that time. He actually helped me out with my ears, giving me a few tips to help them heal faster. He had me pour some sea salt in a dixie cup with some water, swish a Q-tip in the mixture and clean my rooks that way. It worked great!
And I hope things work out better for you in your love life sweetie.
