went to brasil, from manaus to salvador to bahia. we met tons of great people, including photog...
autumn sonnichsen and her herd of turtles.
then we went skiing at deer valley...
followed by lots of friends visiting from new york and all over..
oh yeah... i grew a "test" beard...
that i shaved off on my birthday. which brings us to spring...
we had an awesome bbq. i smoked this brisket:
and we drank buckets of wine despite the cuh-razy heat.

some fun stuff we didn't photograph: the un-coachella weekend in san francisco where we saw mgmt, booka shade, cut copy, black kids, mandy, and simian mobile disco in slightly more comfortable conditions. we took my mom to see wicked. we had an amazing anniversary dinner at sona. and i won't post pix of it but i'm trying to lose the 10 pounds i packed on this winter, my first big summer project.
instead, heres a little taste of my other big summer project.. the front porch garden.

That's kind north-central. Its a place called Calico Rock... north of Mountain View. Southern Arkansas isn't nearly as cool as northern... its like a little paradise nobody knows about. The Ozark mnts. are pretty awesome, though.
