My husband is from New Orleans, and he tells me that they have hurricane parties there. You can choose to let the anxiety and dread of the hurricane debilitate you, and you can lock yourself in your boarded-up house and suffer, or you can choose to transform that dread and anxiety into fucked-up whack-o behavior. Hurricane parties often get out of control FAST, which is not surprising, considering you have a bunch of wound-up anxious people pretending they don't give a shit about the damage that might happen, drinking entirely too much too quickly. Next hurricane, everybody come to my house. Bring hard liquor.

wow. that's pretty amazing. one time i got rearended by a drunk driver at an intersection. she hit me and then peeled wheels to get away. i called the cops who tracked her down about a 1/2 hour later, after she'd hit a different car. it turns out she rearended about 12 people that day. when they found her, her ridiculously fucked up car was in her driveway, all parked nice. the kicker? she had let her insurance lapse the day before. i had to like sue her for her house or soemthing to pay for my repairs.
also: i've puked on the side of a car before and it really did ruin the paint!

Got rained on most of the day yesterday so the bikes stayed at home shivvering under the clouds. I went out for the BAH3 hash and got penty muddy and bloody running through the woods and bogs near Crofton Park, then ended up running a straight friggin line back on pavement (not my favorite way to fly).
