Iceland! Hands down. But I find something that speaks to me almost everywhere I go. New York is amazing-- the humanity of it all is overwhelming. But sometimes it's too much. The light in San Francisco is breathtaking.

I don't think there's anything more depressing in the world than one of your closest friends move away.

You start to notice it happen more and more around this age ( early-to-mid 20's )..people's lives start taking different paths, and one day you look around and you're all alone...

Anyways, the bright side is that true friends never really go away...my father still talks to his best friend, whom has been his best friend since he was eleven (my dad is 60 years old)...they still visit each other every few months...it's truly amazing thing to watch, two people who know each other so well, who have seen each other grow up, and go through every major incident life throw at us...so anyways, have faith that those that you care about will find a way to stay in your life.

When feeling totally alone and rejected I'll go for a walk by the river. An absence of other people helps concentrate my mind on things that really matter.

Well I run up and down the street elbow slamming prostitues, clotheslining drug dealers, and dropkicking churchgoers anything that moves! ( my fave is powerbomb drop's off of powerlines onto unsuspecting old ladies!) I do this untill I've got a large enough bounty on my head, that way I know I'm wanted!

and for the record, "losing your man to the way you met him" is not always just a wive's tale. in my experience the prediction bears out more than once.

so does oz have a thing where if you get something sent to you as a gift you don't have to pay customs? at least when i lived in iceland that was the case-- i'd just get friends to mail order stuff for me and then ship it to me as a gift. sure, it's a bit of extra time and shipping money, but it sure beat a 24% VAT tax.

I had a roommate from Australia some years ago who would eat vegemite like it was peanut butter. She spread huge amunts of it over salitines and ate it with Australian Velveeta cheese.
