It's snowing again and the mountains are re-opening... which is fantastic because I am already having to go the year w/o pro hockey and I was definitely relying on a good year of boarding to tie me over until the lock out was over... so when we got the monsoons that melted pretty well everything under 1500 feet, i was beginning to feel pretty disheartened about the winter season but its cold again and Im making trails into America heading for mount Baker on Wednesday can't wait!!!

I won my first game of Texas Hold em last night, a small pot of $30 but it was hard earned. I didnt see a decent hand for the first 90 minutes and I was nearly out a few times, but I hung in there, folding hand after hand until my cards showed up I wiped the whole table with just a couple of hands thanks to a little luck and some evil, misleading betting on my part. I think I could get addicted to this game. I read today that since hockey is off the air, Hold em and other poker tournaments are getting the best ratings on the sports channels. poker a sport? hmmmm.

Anyways, Im back. What did I miss?

Oooookay, so i took a few frames while up the mountain... the sun came out and so i took the opportunity to hike off a little and snap a few shots... but i was soooooorely dissapointed to find only black and white film in my bag... but after toying with the clorization and aging the photographs a little, I like how it all turned out... they're in my PICS section.... go look, tell me what you think...
