So I have three computers: work + home + laptop each with it's own collection of tunes. So I thought I'll buy an iPod to transfer all the files to all my machines.
So I took my ass to futureshop, listened the to 20 minute rant about a service plan no one needs and bought an iPod. Much to my chagrin I've discovered that Apple loves to let you transfer music TO your iPod, but once in it's clutches that greedy little box doesn't want to let them go. It actually takes third party software to get your music off the damn thing.
It's like this tiny little vault that taunts me with it's cute design and handy interface... curse you apple... curse you for being the RIAA's bitch!
Sigh... I'm sooo hard done by.

By the way, do you happen to know if those iTunes giftcards in the stores are usable without requiring a credit card to create an account?
