Went to Mt Baker yesterday... had to get up at 5am, which sucked. I almost bailed on the trip altogether but I'm glad I didn't. The snow was great, but americans aren't as friendly or polite as the people up here. While we were waiting for the rest of the group one of the girls who worked at the lodge came by and wiped off the table we were sitting at. I said "thank you" and she gave me this look of disgust. Shit like that happened all day to all of us (Hold the door open for people and they don't say thanks, just duck their heads down and avoid eye contact with you). Americans are freaky.
Dispite all that, for my third time on the hill I'm pretty happy with what I can do. I made it down multiple times without falling on my arse once (not including getting off the lift). I can connect my turns and started riding an edge on my last few runs. When my buddy told me my first day that by my fifth day I'd be riding with him I disbeleived. Judging from where I'm at now however, it doesn't seem unreasonable.

So. I'm an American. Do you think I'm a freak? I think it's just that too many of us are self-absorbed, and we don't really think about other people. Atleast, that's my excuse. I don't really know about anyone else...I'm too self absorbed.
I don't even know what 5am feels like anymore....which of course is a good thing.
*makes freaky American face*
