so today is the mr's 30th birthday!
He's sleeping right now, and i've been here at school since ten after 7 and my class doesn't start till 11, yes that's right...11! lol I'm a nerd but what can i say, I'm loving retouching old photos (something i learned in photoshop class.) I'll probably post some stuff up soon.
been an eventful weekend, trying to make the best out of everything,
Friday we got lost downtown going to see Nymph at the SG gala fundraiser, which was held at The Chelsea Room. All i have to say is SIGNS ARE GOLDEN, PEOPLE SHOULD USE THEM MORE OFTEN! We spent almost 2 hours walking back and forth between Ossington and Bathurst looking for a doorway! lol It was an adventure to say the least. But we eventually found the place thanks to some random dude on a street corner that actually knew what the lounge was. It's an unmarked hideout basically, but finding it was definitely worth the treak. We missed Nymph soo much, it was awsome getting to see her and meeting her friend and bf.
We spent valentine's day (night) at the last Scandelle's burlesque show at Lee's Palace. It wasn't quite what we expected but we made the most of it, as we usually do....
But Ms Dita Von Bon Bon rocked the house!
Sunday we went to see my favourite aunt and my crazy cousins. After that it was off to the mr's hockey game. They lost 3-2 but it was a pretty good, close game.
Yesterday was chaos at my place, my godparents came over for lunch to see me for my 20th birthday that was on the 23rd. Now my godparents are a pair of 5 foot nothing Italians from Woodbridge. Needless to say it's an interesting time when we get together with that side of the family. And to top it all off my nanny from when i was a baby, LITERALLY! showed up with her husband. it was good to see them but it just made the house that much more chaotic. But after everyone left, it was just me and the mr..... snuggled up on the couch. He was such a trooper, he let me watch the Bachelor!
I'm the type of girl who will kick your ass if need be (and i'll more than likely hurt myself doing it, and my other half would tell you) but i'm a sappy girl when it comes to
. lol I see the bachelor as a romantic and plausible way to find someone, and he sees it as a cheesy, staged reality that doesn't make sense that a single person could start falling in love with more than one person at a single time. That's just one of our debates as a couple... we see eye to eye on quite a bit but i'm just as stubborn as he is so we end up butting heads a lot. But that's just how we roll
It's been a pretty crazy year and a half, we've had a lot of ups and downs but we're still here! and i think that's counting for a lot.
So i've rambled on now... killed some time at least.
Back to the birthday plans.... maybe dinner and a nap with the mr after my class is done. Maybe a shower and some cake....
I'd tell you all what he's getting but this will be the FIRST time EVER i'm actually going to surprise him with something. He doesn't like surprises, and he's pretty damn good at guessing things. but i know he'll love this one... and hasn't figured it out yet. OR he HAS and hasn't said anything about it yet, letting me get all excited about surprising him.
He works in mysterious ways. lol
well i'm out for breakfast.
I'll let you know what he gets later on
