It's been so long since I got back so I don't know where to begin.
In December I got engaged. We were visiting her brother and his partner in LA for Christmas with her parents. After much family time we were able to escape for the day and go to Joshua Tree National Park. There's a rock formation called "Hall of Horrors" and it seemed like the perfect place to propose and so I did and she said yes. The ring is simple, she wanted her grandmother's diamond, with a modest clean stone. I'm still excited but very nervous about it. We've moved into an awesome place still in Chicago, I think we'll stay here for a while. Tank, our cat, loves it here too so we'll stay.
On the job front I've been working on movies, tv shows, and commercials as a PA. That's been awesome and very welcome. I had gone into a little bit of a depression but I'm doing much better now. I'm working on a business plan for my own production company. I'll update more on that as it happens.
I drove with my brother to Prince Rupert, Canada in July. He was transferred to Sitka, AK. for work so he and his family jumped on a ferry there and took a little cruise to Sitka. Canada was pretty cool. It was nice to see more of the US and take my time in different places along the way.
I'm looking to get a little more experience doing photography. From planning to shooting. I'm not going to lie, I'm still learning and need quite a bit of practice. Whatever I do, I just need to do something creative. It's driving me crazy not being creative.
