Holy shit. I spent like 3 hours today getting aspell 0.33.x to compile on a dude's xserve (rolling out a site on it). 0.5x works great on OSX (10.2), 0.33.x doesn't. But after hacking the CocoAspell patches, reverting to GCC 2.95.2 and some voodoo magic, BEHOLD THE MAGIC

That sounds about right. Anything Apple tends to behave weirdly. The apple folks have gotten way too used to a closed source base. I've given up on compiling DSS on Linux, I revert to hacking the libs to get the redhat 7.0 version run on modern linux.

So I managed to get a room at the Gaylord House in Everett. The name is just too good not to stay there. Looks like I'll be in Everett on July 28th, Portland 29th/30th, Sacramento 31st, Taft/Bakersfield 1st, Glendale 2nd/3rd. then.. hmm dunno. Probably drive back somewhere.. maybe to San Francisco. Depends. Maybe I'll post something in the hookup thing... but I'm so lazy frown

where are you in canada? i was in vancouver bc last weekend and although it was pretty, i was BORED STIFF. i had an imPOSSIBLE time finding anyone like me...and i scoured that city! there waas nothing to do...besides dance clubs. which unfortunately are not my scene.

Oh, and I'm in Edmonton, Alberta. I'll be in Kamloops on the 26th and in Vancouver on the 27th. A buddy of mine lives there. I'm hoping he knows what's happening. Last time I was there we hung out in his apartment, smoked dope, and discussed the crappyness of Wendy's food. I was there for Warped... they didn't even check our tickets biggrin

If you want some excitement, hang out on Hastings after dark.... or during any part of the day biggrin

Oh and butrflildy, my camera is still in a state of brokeness. However, I'll be taking my digital video camera. So I'll have video anyway.

So last night's benefit / appreaciation night at Seedy's fucking rocked. Mike had no idea.. it was fuckin' great. Awesome acts too, like Pangina (punk rock) unplugged eeek. That was quite the erhmm experience. Kathryn(sp?) Yearwood also rocked with her wierd experimental music. Although I think the night belonged to Robin Hunter (guitar god/folk) and then Wendy McNeill ("folk noir").
