2ndthought

so my first show with DX28 was last night. there were problems from the start, such as me getting pulled by a state cop like 3 miles into my drive on the expressway. anyway, everything worked out, we got to the hotel eventually (which was fucking shitty and gross, but that's another story). got to the club, hauled all our shit in, played the waiting game, the first couple bands fucked everything up time-wise, so we had to scramble a bit, but no big deal. i forgot how much fun it is to play shows and have everything be a chaotic mess, hehe. got all our stuff ready, and of course, i fucked up my drums with just a couple minutes left before we started...finished fixing them with 2 beats left of the intro before we started our first song....fucking awesome.
blew through our set, which had some rough spots here and there, but for the most part, it was solid. after we were done, everyone was coming up to me, and jacking my ego off, hardcore. gotta say, i liked it, heh. the guys in the other band had a lot of really nice things to say, and it was sweet.
went back to the hotel eventually, got cleaned up, then went and hung out with a bunch of people. it was fucking great. i'd say at the peak of it, there were probably 25 or so people crammed in to that room. fun times. went to bed at like 7:30 this morning, got up at 10...not cool. got home at about 2, and took a nappy. can't wait till the tour starts. dates to come!
