I wasted today playing computer games and sliding across ice. You wonder why I like winter? Well...I like sliding, sliding across ice today hundreds of meters at a time was absolutely amazing. Most other areas have a bit of ice or maybe a few inches of ice+snow in a strong foam type system.
Out here I've got ski trails and soccer fields covered with 6 to 12 inches of the same stuff. Nice thing was I had the whole place to myself, nobody else was out there sliding. It was the most fun I've had in a bit...then we got some snow on top of it...so out came the back country skis...and...out there I saw a woman.
She came out of the blowing snow and tore across the light snow in her racing skis. She was dreamy in red and knew I was watching her. She picked up speed as the wind blew on her towards her destination. Our eyes met briefly and she winked before passing by with the howling wind. And then disappeared into the trees shrouded by snow and ice. I would have followed her but she was going with the wind, that wimp.
I saw her again at when I caught up at the parking lot and she told me in heavily accented english that "she was an exchange student and she was leaving for the airport in 10 minutes."
She proceded to clean/pack her skis into travel bag and drove out my life forever.
So I removed my skiis...boots, put on my shoes and slid across the ice...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

you are right, the cold is good fun; the only way to enjoy the winter (or spring it seems) is to get out and do something in it. i miss ice-sliding, except for when my car does it. i haven't tobogganed in a couple of years. my favourite winter activity is finding a deep drift of snow, taking a good run and flinging myself into the drift. again and again, till i'm out of fluffy snow. that is just so fun...like hurling myself into the gym matts velcroed to the wall during school dances, but less jarring.

doing doors was fine...not one problem. We all had a good time. I might put on a couple of concerts in the summer with kevin. His shows so far have been all ages events but everyone is kind of sick of little kids coming and drinking, so from now on it's 19+ smile

the poo animation was gold. I wanna see one with the poo being thrown...which gives me an idea, not sure if it could be done...msg me and I'll tell you
