You call me and when I answer you hang up. Why bother calling if you don't want to talk to me. I like to call you back and leave weird messages on your voicemail, but no one ever responds. Dear telemarketers sometimes when I'm dropping a deuce I would like some conversation, but you are obviously just checking to see if I'm still alive. I thank you for your concern on my wellbeing. I must know who you are white knight, who cares so much and so little at the same time. I only ask because I would like to send you a Christmas card for all the time you have invested in me.

If that's a telemarketer, they can use a machine to dial a bunch of numbers, and they talk to the first one who answers. The rest are hangups.
