Finding parts for this little monster has been difficult to say the least. The main problem is that they only made this bike for two years, which makes ebay and Craigslist my parts store. I recently took her in and got new brakes, wheel bearings, and tires put on, on top of that a carb cleaning and a new guts in the pet cock so it wouldn't leak fuel. I recently found a used header pipe which is not easy because nobody makes them anymore.
Mine had a decent sized rust hole in it, so rather than weld it like the previous owner I found one in better shape. I also realized that my forks have a slight bend to them which causes the front end to pull to the right. Found out early on that its not that simple to find forks for a thirty year old bike. Luckily ebay came through with a decently priced set. And lastly my new set of handle bars to replace my bent one from a wreck sometime before I got it.
Now I just have to find the headlight switch that works, new brake cables front and rear, and a set of new plastics. It feals like I own a boat sometimes because of all of these unexpected costs. This little project is going to cost me near $5000 by the time it's all said and done. I will say this I love the bike and wouldn't change a thing about buying it.
