I completly understand this. I too worry about being "discovered". I won't use my girls' names for that reason either. I can't see how it would effect me at the moment if someone figured out who I am, but I plan to teach again someday when the girlies are older. That could be an issue. Anyway, I respect this decision and will try to think of something clever and lovely.

Ugh...am I tired. I leave in two days...I am both excited and apprehensive. 
I teach 6 classes a day...Art 1 (which is every media), Studio Art and Advanced Studies (at the same time) and Ceramics 1 and II (at the same time). They all get the art history lesson and then the probjects are inspired by the lessons. For example: We just did Early Christian, Byzantine, Romanesque, and Gothic...So Art 1 is doing Manuscript Illumination type drawings with mixed media, and Ceramics I are making gargoyles out of clay, and Ceramics II are doing sculptures that have hidden compartments in them inspired by the reliquaries. Studio Art and Adv. Studs. do the art history, but work on their own projects. It makes for very interesting days...especially in an inner-city school.

I've never seen Spongebob...but several of my kiddies LOVE him...my father (whom is an elementary principal) said that he can't understand the facianation...he says that it's a sponge and sponges are dirty and bacteria ridden...he's a bit odd sometimes but funny.
I finally finished...ugh...700 years of art history all in an 11 page presentation and 55 slides. I'm at an inner-city school and there is no money for slides so I have to scan and download anything I want to use and make it into a powerpoint. All in all...not bad...just exhausting.

I usually come back whenever we have breaks. And...I just spoke with my parents, and I'm going to come home for the majority of the summer! The wonderful advantages of being a teacher...summers off but without pay...but it is worth it! They are going to fly out and drive back with me and Sidney and then I'll stay there, then they'll drive back with me and they'll fly back. I'm going to try to talk them into driving up to San Francisco at some point because its only 8 hours away and I LOVE it there. Plus we are planning on going to Poland in July, my dad's from there and hasn't been back since he was 8 so we are all very excited. I can't wait until summer!

i'm totally like that right now..I haven't been talking to my real life friends for awhile...i've just been on this sg thing. I also keep things on the inside as far as work goes.
Yesterday was such a beautimous day. It was 50 degrees here!!! It was wierd being outside without a jacket, shooting hoops with the boys, and still being surrounded by 5 foot high snowbanks...everywhere. Of course, it couldn't stay that way for long, & today we're back to winter. Mother nature's such a tease.
