The Freeways in L.A. suck ass. I have a pretty long commute from Long Beach to Universal City which, let me tell you, is always a wonderful time spent on the road with the thousands of other southern californians stuck on the pavement we so happily know as a "freeway". Ive actually become somewhat used to the drive, spacing out when i open the door to get in and turing my brain on autopilot for the long journey ahead. But there are always those special moments which remind you of how insignificant you are to the wave of automobiles which daily crash onto these roads like rats jumping ship with the plague. For example, it doesnt matter what time of day it is, pouring rain or bright and sunny, there are always those points on the road which are extremely slow, taking you half an hour to move a quarter of a mile or even longer. Sometimes its a stalled car, an accident a mile away, on the other side of the freeway, or construction but its usually because of the retarded drivers who "pass" the DMVs rigorous driving tests who should immediately have their licenses burned then stamped on then shot out of a canon and the driver be subjected to utilize our great public transportionfor the rest of their lives. I know im whining but what the hell else are these journals good for if not to vent?
