My brother is leaving for NY then on to Spain for a semester and his gf roommate (i cant spell worth a damn) was saying how happy she is that he is going, not because she dislikes him but because her friend will now be around more often. This girl is a...

Fie on jelly! Honey-dipped. Or powdered. Maybe cinnamon. WIth coffee. Dunkin Donuts coffee. That's the way.

I know some ladies who play a mean game of canasta, if you're interested.
chikadee:
ahh common embrace the alcholism, just don't combine it with a love of mountaineering and you'll be fine. And yeah, Alberta is the home of Big Rock beer, and there is in fact a big rock in the middle of the prarie that it's named after.
does life seem to get more confusing as we grow up or is it just me?
commonman:
Life doesn't get more confusing so much as brain cells start death reaches a critical point, and then our brains start turning into swiss cheese. Early-onset alzheimers, here we come!
chikadee:
I dig your red cape.
Do you often play in just your underooos, it's kinda fun ain't it.
So nice to meet someone who thinks Quantum theory's neat, means I'm not the only uber geek out there.

went to the Good Riddance show last night. It was pretty damn good...and fun. Had never seen them live before which made it even better. la la la blah blah blah....
commonman:
I don't know Good Riddance. What kind of music are they?
It is easy to go down to Hell; night and day, the gates of dark Death stand wide; but to climb back again, to retrace one's steps to the upper air - there's the rub, the task
pillango:
yeah. i'd say i'm in hell, almost consistantly.
The only way to bag a classy lady is to give her two tickets to the gun show... and see if she likes the goods.
OC fair tonight...gotta love carnival food plus i have to check out the largest steer in the world and the biggest horse. Good Times.
commonman:
YOu mean the OC is a real place? Wow, I just thought it was where Misha Barton wore bikinis.
So part of my job is to read scripts submitted to my boss. See if they are worth doing yadayadayada. Sometimew they are good but most of the time they are sub-par to terrible. Then after reading these masterpieces, work which may have taken months, even years of grinding out their story, I give them a call and in a couple minutes tell them how...

i'm very content where i'm at. don't be bitter.
commonman:
You're not alone. I used to have to tell people to their face that I couldn't reveal a potentially life-changing bureaucratic decision to them (that I knew the answer to) because it wasn't the right time yet. So, they may have been convinced that the decision was going their way and making plans, when I knew it wasn't, or may be despondent because they thought it went against them but in reality was in theor favor. And I would know, but not be able to say. Bureaucracy sucks!
What is the point? I mean really.
I went to a premiere last night for a documentary about my boss and his father. It was very interesting. A lot of celebs and others who work in the industry. I just kinda hung back, drank a scotch and took it all in. I also brought my ex as my date.....let the emotional masochism continue.....
commonman:
Sounds like fun, except maybe for the ex. But I suppose that was what the scotch was for.
I just watched a documentary on George Stevens that was pretty interesting. I never realized that he made many of the movies that I really like. Seemed like a cool guy.
