THE BLOOD TRAVELS

2) A difficult task will always present its self. Always. In fact life is a
difficult task. There are not easy alternatives. There comes a time, a
maturing moment when a child overcomes an obstacle and is immediately confronted by another larger unexpected obstacle. When they overcome that second obstacle they must feel absolutely safe. What could be worse then that which they just encountered. They have just persevered not once but twice. Of course time continues and the child grows and a few years and one hundred and fifty seven obstacles later they are young adults. After the one hundred and fifty eighth obstacle it dawns on them like a ray of light shooting from they
sky. In the big scheme of things life is just an obstacle for death. Death is the final accomplishment of life. A difficult task just thinking about it. An overwhelming task in actual life, living that is to say. It was at this moment in thought the waitress had delivered her coffee. There was sugar on the table but no cream and no spoon. Hardly a life or death situation but an obstacle none the less. The waitress did seem annoyed that she had only ordered a coffee so getting her attention to acquire the fore mentioned items would be difficult. She made a quick survey of the room. Discreetly she swiped a spoon from the next table's pre set. She spied across the table one single plastic container of non-dairy creamer on the counter about six or seven feet away. She casually got up took a quick stroll stepped to the counter, stretched and cleverly picked the creamer up. Success, she had overcome an obstacle, she was ready for any challenge life might present. Victorious she sat sipping her steaming coffee as the waitress walked by and dropped off some creamers from her apron and a shining spoon without missing a beat. It dawned on her that perhaps there weren't as many difficult tasks in life as she had thought. Maybe, she thought, just maybe she was creating rather than encountering obstacle's for herself. She sipped her coffee and squinted her eyes as she thought about this.
