where I am...
lets pretend for a second that we are both intrigued
and that I am not stairing at the parking lot wondering if you are even listening
And where are you...
three thousand miles away and by now, must be wondering if I will even come back
we can face each other a thousand times and it might still be as if we never met...
but sure as ever you can still complete these thoughts
thanks for paying half the rent.
the sun looks better setting over the ocean.
the ocean looks better set next to all these rolling hills
I can use my surfboard in April to see how far I'll float away.
or I can enjoy California while it's still begging me to stay.

I walked straight forward, towards the water. Never looked back, my eyes fixated on its teal, liquid body...
I breathed in, felt the moisture of the waves pour through my lungs.
Then, for the first time since I got off the train I turned around.
One hundred and eighty degrees to the North.
Out of nowhere burst forth hundreds of massive, magestic pillars, standing wih their backs to the sun.
Millions of tiny windows pouring silver light into the bustling streets...
Millions of opportunities.
If you stop to turn around you might just notice a few of those tiny drops splattering on your shoulders.
