I had some fun at work the other day. I have been told that I am on the bubble to be promoted to manager and that my manager and the district manager both agree that I have a few things to work on. The dm wanted me to put it in writing after I talked to my boss. I did all that and added a few things that I personally felt that I needed. He was supposed to be at the Asst Managers meeting but he wasn't there. I found out where he was and it wasn't far away.

I decided to drive over there and drop the letter off to him personally. I walked up to him and said here I wrote this out for you. His face dropped. He thought it was a letter of resignation. He even stopped breathing for a moment. I told him it wasn't a resignation letter and that was when he started breathing again. Seeing his reaction really made me begin to believe that I was not just getting lip service about being on the bubble.

The president of the company also told us that he has about 6 new locations that are to be opened this coming year. So we will see what happens. I just have to go out and keep making it happen at work and the promotion will come. Kind of like if I build it the promotion will come. It will it is just a matter of time.

Sunday night after work my wife and I are going to Flagstaff to get some stuff out of storage. I seized up the engine on my truck a few weeks ago and decided I could not pull an engine with the tools that I had here and needed the rest of my tools. So now we are going to get my tools as well as a bunch of other stuff. The tools are the important part. Also I am going to try and stop in Phoenix and pick up the engine that I buitl 2 years ago from the shop that I used to work at. I hope it is still there.
