Hello again.
1. Today was the first day of my monthly drill. It went well because we got out early. We were done with what we needed to do and I went and checked if there was anything else and then took it upon myself to get my soldiers out early. We took a PT test this morning and they did a great job so it was time to reward them and get them out.
We still have tomorrow but that will be another short day. The only problem is that 2 new officers came in today. 1 is ok she is a young female that will probably turn into a pretty good officer. She seems to have a good head on her shoulder and seems willing to listen. She is a product of ROTC. The other officer I served with in Iraq and was not impressed with him there and still I am not impressed with him now. He is fat and not a good example. He is lazy and after lunch he jokingly said well let's go in the office and take a nap. It was a joke but it wasn't at the same time. He will be a problem but I can sort of mold him and get him to do what I want. The problem is he has rank and is probably going to be the new commander, and that sucks.
2. On other news I am kicking ass at work. The main salesman was on vacation and I took off with a shit load of sales. He came back from vacation and has not gotten his head into the game yet and I am not letting up. No one will be able to over take my sales by the end of the weekend but it will be a lot closer when I get back to work on Tuesday. I am about $20,000 ahead of the next closest salesman. That is a tough number to overcome. I am making a lot of money because of this also. I can't wait for that commission check to come in, that will mean more performance parts for my car. Or maybe to head up to Flagstaff and pick up the rest of my stuff out of storage. It would be so nice to have all my stuff here at the house.
3. Today's final note is that we finally got the new couch and it is awesome. Also the new table arrived and it looks great. Now I just have to convince my wife to let me buy the new 61" tv. That will finish off the room completely. I can't wait for it.
