#7 Your Account: Pics and Videos

7.1 WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR REPORTING/APPEALING CONTENT REMOVAL?

Remember, some of your posts may be public, and all are viewable to other members on the site. Staff may remove content, issue warnings, or close accounts at our discretion if we feel the content is in violation of our terms. For first time offenders, a warning may be issued should we find the post violates our terms of service. Any further violations may result in your account being closed indefinitely.

If you would like to report content that you feel violates the TOS please contact: help@suicidegirls.com and use the subject "Violation" (be sure to include a link to the offensive content or any supporting screen shots).

Concurrently, if your content was removed and you feel the decision was made in error you can email: help@suicidegirls.com with the subject “Appeal” and the content attached to the email, as well as a link to where it was originally uploaded.

7.2 How do I upload a photo?

If using the site on your computer:
Click the camera symbol in the top right corner of any page. Either drag and drop your photo (or photos) to the middle of the gray area, or use the green CHOOSE FILE button to select your photo. After your photo has uploaded, click the green POST PHOTO button at the bottom, and you're done!

If using the site on your phone or tablet:
Tap the + symbol in the top right corner of any page, then tap the camera symbol. Use the green CHOOSE FILE button to select your photo. After your photo has uploaded, click the green POST PHOTO button at the bottom, and you're done!

Uploading one image will create a single photo post, and uploading multiple images at once will create an album. You can edit, delete, or add more photos to either of these at any time.

7.3 I'm having trouble uploading pictures. Help!

You should see a green confirmation message at the top of your screen after you successfully post a photo/album. If you see a red error message instead, try clicking the refresh or reload button on your browser. If that doesn't help, clear your browser's cookies and cache, then try again.

(Not sure how to clear your browser's cookies and cache? Google has more info!)

7.4 What kind of photos and videos are not allowed to be uploaded on my account?

SuicideGirls is a community based website, and we do want you to be able to express yourself through your pictures and your blogs. However, our community guidelines prohibit content that is hateful, pornographic, or anything that would get you or SG in trouble with the law.

What does this mean regarding nudity? Members may not post photos or videos of exposed genitals in any context, except in groups where this type of content is specifically allowed. Hopefuls and SuicideGirls may not post photos or videos featuring penetration of any kind, masturbation, or fluids, except in groups where this type of content is specifically allowed.

Remember, some of your posts may be public, and all are viewable to other members on the site. Staff may remove content, issue warnings, or close accounts at our discretion if we feel content is in violation of the above guidelines. All reported complaints must be resolved within 7 days

7.5 Can I link my Instagram to my SG profile? What about Twitter? AllMyLinks? OnlyFans? MFC?

Sadly, you can no longer link your Instagram account to your SG profile, due to changes to Instagram's API. You CAN, however, connect your Twitter, AllMyLinks, and OnlyFans accounts! (And if you're a SuicideGirl or a hopeful, you can also connect your MFC account!)

Here’s how to connect your accounts:

From your SG profile, choose the EDIT MY PROFILE button below your username. (If you're on a phone or tablet, it'll be the green pencil icon located just below your profile picture.)

Enter your username in the box for any accounts you'd like to link to your SG account. Scroll down and click the green SAVE MY PROFILE button, and you're done!

Now your profile will display a cute little icon that links everyone to your other sites! Yay!

7.6 How do I post an image in my blog or in a group?

After clicking in the text area, click the ATTACH button below the text area. Either drag and drop your photo (or photos) to the middle of the gray area, or use the green CHOOSE FILE button to select your photo. (Note: You will only have the option to drag and drop if you're using the site from a computer.)

You can also upload images from the web using the URL, or upload them from Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, and Dropbox. If using the site from a computer, you'll see all of these options to the left of the upload box. If using the site from a phone or tablet, click the three lines to open this menu and then you'll see all of your options. Select the option you want, connect your account, and then choose the image(s) you wish to upload!

After your image has uploaded and you're ready to complete your blog or group post, scroll down and click the green POST or SUBMIT button!

7.7 How do I edit my album or delete pictures?

From the album you'd like to edit, click on the Gear Icon just above the image(s), then choose Edit. From here, you can change the title, description, and privacy of the album, as well as rearrange, add, or delete images!

To change the title, description, or privacy settings:
Make your text changes or use the dropdown menu at the bottom left to select your album's privacy (Public, Members Only, Followers Only). When you're done, click the green SAVE CHANGES button at the bottom.

To rearrange images:
Drag and drop images in the order you'd like. The first 6 images in your album, will appear as the preview. When you're done, click the green SAVE CHANGES button at the bottom.

To Add More Photos:
Click the large green + ADD MORE button that's just below the album thumbnails. Select the new images you wish to add, and wait for them to upload. When you're done, click the green SAVE CHANGES button at the bottom.

To delete images:
Click on the little trash can icon in the bottom right corner of the images you want to delete. When you're done, click the green SAVE CHANGES button at the bottom.

To delete the entire album:
Scroll to the bottom of the edit screen and you will see a gray check mark with a caption to confirm you want to delete the album. Clicking it will turn it green, then click DELETE ALBUM.

7.8 Can I link the pictures I uploaded somewhere outside of SuicideGirls?

Yes, but only if your privacy settings for the album are set to PUBLIC. Members Only and Followers Only posts are only viewable to logged in SuicideGirls members, so there is no point linking them outside SG. People who are not logged in to SuicideGirls will see an ad instead.

7.9 How can I upload a video? What can my video be like?

Your video can be anything you want as long as it is your own video and does not include copyrighted material and does not contain anything explicit, pornographic, hateful, or otherwise in violation of our TOS.

If using the site on your computer:
Click the play symbol (▶️) in the top right corner of any page. Either drag and drop your video to the middle of the gray area, or use the green CHOOSE FILE button to select your video. After your video has uploaded, click the green POST VIDEO button at the bottom.

If using the site on your phone or tablet:
Tap the + symbol in the top right corner of any page, then tap the play symbol (▶️). Use the green CHOOSE FILE button to select your video. After your video has uploaded, click the green POST VIDEO button at the bottom.

Videos need a few minutes to process and may be reviewed by SG staff, so don't worry if you don't see your video right away. We'll send you a notification once it's ready to view!

7.10 What kinds of video files can I upload? How big can it be?

Your video must be one of the following filetypes: Quicktime, Windows, FLA, AVI, MPEG, or Real.

It must be under 100mb, or shorter than 10 minutes long.

7.11 My video isn't uploading! What the crap?

You should see a green confirmation message at the top of your screen after you successfully post a video. (Remember, your videos need a few minutes to process and may be reviewed by SG staff, so don't worry if you don't see your video right away. We'll send you a notification once it's ready to view!)

If you see a red error message instead, make sure your video is one of the accepted file types and that it is under 100mb. If you're sure your video meets these criteria, try clicking the refresh or reload button on your browser. If that doesn't help, clear your browser's cookies and cache, then try again. (Not sure how to clear your browser's cookies and cache? Google has more info!)

Still can't get it to work? Try uploading your video to Youtube, if possible. If it works there, it should work here. If it doesn't, you're using some weird format even the world's largest video uploading site can't read, and should probably look into using a different type of video.

7.12 How do I embed a video in my blog or in a group?

After clicking in the text area, click the VIDEO button below the text area, then copy and paste the video's embed code or URL.

7.13 I logged in but I am still seeing the SG logo in place of images, why?

Clear your browsers cookies and cache and you will see the correct image! If this happens often, you can adjust your cache settings so it checks for the correct image every time.

(Not sure how to clear your browser's cookies and cache? Google has more info!)

7.14 What are tags?

Tags are a good way to find photosets that have similar elements, such as themes, hair color or tattoos. Tags are not the place to leave comments.

7.15 What are examples of good and bad tags?

GOOD TAGS:
"Red hair", "full sleeve", "pierced nipples", "white background", and "underwater" are all good tags. They're specific enough to be helpful, and common enough to be found in other photosets. A general rule is that if it describes something that's in the set or something very distinctive, it's probably okay to tag it. Yes, good tags are boring. If you want to be funny, go to the Silliness board, or leave your "tag" as a comment on the girl's set instead.

BAD TAGS:
- Rude or offensive words or phrases! A great rule to follow is not to leave it in a tag if you wouldn't say it to a woman's face. These kinds of tags will NOT be tolerated in our community, and can get your account suspended without refund. In addition, all tags are marked with the username of the person that left them, so everyone will know who is leaving the offensive tag. So don't think we won't find out!
- Generic tags that apply to way too many sets! Tags like "naked", "eyes", and "ass" are applicable to every single photoset on the site and don't help. Don't just tag "feet" - say something about the feet in question, if they're so remarkable that they're noteworthy. Likewise, you don't need to point out that a girl is "beautiful" or "hot." All of our girls are hot, silly!
- Full sentences or punctuation!
- Inside jokes, things that only make sense to you, etc!

Again, yes, good tags are a bit boring, but they're supposed to be helpful and functional. Comments are a *much* better place for compliments, jokes, questions, and other cleverness.
