OMG I fail at life!

I almost had my cell phone disconnected for not paying the bill despite thinking I did, until I looked at my bank statement today and realized I sent the money to my OLD cell phone company. FML. mad

SNIPPETS

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
I've been a lousy journaller, haven't I? I'm terribly sorry. But so much has been incredibly intense in the day-to-day that while I've certainly been hanging around SG, I've been using it as more of a "refuge" where I can lose myself in pretty pictures and groups, and not pay attention to my life. But there will be a few...

A bee stung me today!

(Or a hornet, or a wasp? I'm not really good with insect identification. All yellow and black stingy things are bees to me.)

Back on track -- I got stung! This might not seem noteworthy, but until today I'd never been stung by a bee before. Never, ever. So when I felt a sudden sharp pain in my lower back,...

While I did find something in the capacity range on NewEgg, I'm quite sure it would piss me off with how crappy it is. I'm just gonna have to stick to the 200 capacity binders directly from the company.

Slightly Surreal Storytime, brought to you today by Seymour Butts.

So I get to work yesterday morning and my boss isn't there yet, so I sit outside and have a cigarette. Two customers show up a little early, but soon my boss is there and we go inside, turn off the alarm, turn on the lights, and tell the two women they're welcome to come...

I had such a trip to Vancouver on the weekend! smile

First of all, I can't believe it's taken me this long -- since I moved to BC in late September -- to make a trip to Vancouver. But I guess what they say is true, when you move to an island sometimes it's tough to get off! (Not that I want to. I just like...

Living on Vancouver Island is like living in paradise, my aunt lives in Nanaimo and she seldom goes over to Vancouver (plus it's an expensive trip if you take the car).

I loved the SG Guide to Living DVD, I bought the download....lots of fun! biggrin

Now it was after 1am and I was tired, but I'm pretty darn sure that last night I saw something extra-terrestrial!

I was standing outside on the back patio having a cigarette when from behind the three tall trees in our backyard I saw a bright green light fall out of the sky, way off in the distance. So way off west I'm not even...

It was "the Minotaur of the Equinox"...actually just a 2nd stage rocket engine burning up on re-entry. That's an excellent sketch of it, by the way. You're right about it not landing on the island; it never even touched down in the Pacific Ocean, except as tiny tiny toxic particles of radioactive copper and spent uranium (which is cheaper than titanium, now that that has become 'hip' in the luggage and laptop computer industries. Anyhow, here's some info: http://www.spaceflightnow.com/atlas/av006/
or its ancestor http://www.spaceref.com/news/viewpr.html?pid=536
They launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base in the States. This one carried the 'Concordia' payload (some of this satellite's parts were designed in Montreal. Yeah!) so now if you would just fix your eyes on the end of this shiny silver pen... {PHWOOOOSH!!}

March, so far you kind of suck. I'm already so over this month.

I suppose it can only end better than it started...
