Yeah, mixing you're own medicine "cocktails" isn't a very good idea.
Also, while a couple of benadryl can make you drowsy, taking more than that can actually have the adverse effect and keep you awake...trust me, I found this out the hard way.
I hope you get better and out of pain soon, and that you finally get some real sleep.
