i've been doing non-penny drawings lately.
after my illustrator broke off our friendship i've been forced to illustrate my death poems myself. consequently, to do them any justice i have to develop a style other than stick figure. oi.
i've given myself a warm up assignment. after that's done i'll evaluate whether or not...

dark magenta anyway. it's called chinaberry.
i love it.
it makes me feel like a doll.
but the pig tails have something to do with that too.

i can hardly wait to get paid.
i've spent that check a million times in my head.

change is in the air.

Exactly. And Six Feet Under, particularly
these two final seasons, broke social and
cultural ground for television that demanded
to be broken, and came as far away from
family drama's like the Walton's as one century
from another. The modern family of dysfunctional regularly suicidicly depressed
"new peoples" -- gays, hispanics, whacked out
ex hippies, young suicide girl like rebels -- your
average block in certain LA suburbs, and all of
them living inside the family business: a funeral
home. What a boat to keep a float. And they
did it for five nearly perfect seasons. It call
goes back to Dennis Potter, and is is all part of
one of the books I will create for my new series.

So what do you want to order for supper.
I can't wait. Bob

Shit I'd do it for an extra twenty.

No kidding.

Hi Honey

Some of the best visual narrative writing of
our day is being done for television.
Mostly HBO, mostly the question: is this
really television. No commercial, thus narrative
breaks.

Since you write visual narrative, I don't think
you could help but be inspired by certain moments in Six Feet Under, The Sopranos,
Deadwood, and the Wire. There are more shows attempting to meet these standards
now starting up on other cable, and even the
commercial networks.

I am very content to write what I now write, because it is exactly the same thing as what
I want to write; but even I could be lured down
to Los Angeles to take a shot at a script for one of these programs. My close pal TJ English, a
great true crime narrative writer, is still proudest
of the two scripts he wrote for Homicide: Life in
the Streets.

I think literary historians will read our era as the
era of the comic book and the tv serial.

I may have to sniff you someday.

I've been told I smell good before, but no ones ever told my "what" I smell like.

marshmallows.
that is either some form of her supressed lesbian urges,
or she is fucking insane after going on a stupid diet, and she is starting to see food in everything she's near.

far less aggressive fauna today, thank goodness.
nothing quite like the stink eye from a squirrel to make me realize how uncomfortable wildlife can make me.
i think i'm a city girl at heart.
the only reason i'm really interested in going camping is for the change of scenery. hiking? that's work. i'm not interested in working on my vacation.

only you would get attacked by a butterfly.
that is odd to say the least!

how you doing down there?
are the comics taking off? We'll have to do a little trade one day, I'll send you some of my stuff, and you can update me on your comic progress.

the soy milk thing shouldn't kill you, but it may fuck with your stomach and digestive track for a while. If you swallowed a ot of it that is. If not just eat something and that should suck up all the nasties in your tum.

You still living with Mike? The little fucker still hasn't figured out how to check his email more then once every two months. If I'm gonna distribute that dudes comic for him, he better learn to check the "primary contact" information that I give out with it.... smile

anyway we both miss you guys a ton. If you ever want to take a trip out east your more then welcome to! We would love the company.
