i hear ya Snow. i've been feeling quite uninspired and down myself lately and this is even while i am away in colorado playing music for people..the past week has been real tough and im just taking things one moment at a time and trying to get through this rut..i really hope things turn around for you Snow. obviously music helps, dancing helps.. for some reason listening to 80's music sometimes gets me going..hang in there. the inspiration will come..i am waiting for it myself and just holding on to hope..

yo la tengo? glad you like 'em. let's see -- they were my favorite band for a few years -- i lucked onto their first single when it came out and probably have seen them more than almost any other band except maybe sun ra. i was at ira and georgia's wedding in '87 (likely they invited me so i wouldn't stalk it!), i put on 3 shows in 3 successive years with them playing on the roof of the dorm i lived in at the time in manhattan, and the first real, big article i wrote for the village voice was on them -- shit, that was 16 years ago (i'm ooooooold), i once released a 7" with their cover of fleetwod mac's "dreams" on it, and i have turned all of my girlfriends onto that band except the ones who already liked 'em and my ex-wife who didn't like 'em much... um, yeah, so you can see i really am a fanatic! esp. about ylt...
