Oh no.  I know it's a few days late, but I hope you are ok?

when i was 19 i learned from a couple friends how to develop both film (35mm) and make prints in B&W. i’d bought a used Pentax Spotmatic SLR for not a lot of $$. we even loaded our own film canisters from a bulk loader, it was much more economical that way. my point is, w/B&W all of that is really pretty easy to learn to do. the chemicals for developing film and photographs is inexpensive and not too complicated at all. Color is a whole different thing which i’m sure is significantly more difficult, but certainly not impossible! I wish you the best of luck in this and all your pursuits. as I aways say, “curiosity and perseverance” will get you to anywhere you want to go.

What cameras are you considering? If you can, go full frame and I'd recommend mirrorless. Brand is less important  an the main ones are all good. My preference is because I invested in their lenses early on so can't move to another easily. I don't like the layout and menus of another so some will be personal preferences. Try before you buy! Second hand is good as long as you check everything works and the sensor is unmarked. There are loads of peoples here that take photos so there will always be people to help and guide if you want it.
