I've been resisting saying this for a couple months now, but I have to do it.

used well the icons can tell stories, or at least induce them in people's minds. for instance, the chicken icon and the vomit icon above could be in a very complex situation. perhaps the chicken was so rank that the face became green and vomited. alternately, the chicken could have been merely attracted by the vomit as a source of food. in fact, i even made an assumption in viewing the green face with the pink stuff as depicting someone vomiting... in fact, it could be one with green skin who happens to eat pink pizzas. see how interesting good use of icons can be?
