The only problem with the 14 year old girl issue is that the "consent" given is very debatable at that age. Even more so when dealing with someone who is considered to be in a position of power. When consent is given to someone in the family, a teacher, someone who has a high level of fame or money for example, they are the ones in the position of power, and that consent runs on a very fine line. I don't know the laws down there obviously, but in a lot of places the legal age to have consentual sex, and the age where you are considered a legal adult are very different. The kidnapping factor could simply come from the fact that he was not her legal guardian, and took her wherever without the consent of her parents etc. When I was 15 if my father were to have taken me anywhere, even with my consent, my mother (as the only legal guardian) could have charged him with kidnapping if she so chose. I don't know, I guess you would need to know all the facts and all the laws of the area to make any kind of real judgement.

Personally I think they should charge him with every kind of offense they can pin on him. It is a common tactic actually.

Anyway, hope the move went well, let me know when there will be a house warming and I will be there, crutches and all .

Congrats on your lease! I am sorry to hear about your stressful week. I have a bunch of tests I need to do at the colleges I am applying to that I am totaly stressing about. I was always a straight A student at school, but I have been out of school for three years now, I don't even think I remember most of the things I learned, lol. Except for the art training of course.

We should get together and do coffee... or beer (and yes, you are wonderful enough that I would drink beer for you ). Hanging our with me makes anyone's week better (can you spot the fake bravado). Lucky you, I never got to take AI classes while I was in school. It was either never offered while I was on campus, or I had to take other courses for degree requirements. Boo for requirements. I'm jealous.

As for your business management prof, you only have to ask yourself one thing: has this prof ever worked in the private sector? If the answer is 'no', then you know they're full of it. One of my algorithms profs once dismissed assignments as 'implementation is trivial'; he honestly believed if you could scribble out the concept on paper, that coding and debugging it was a barely-needed exercise. He's obviously never worked for a company, under a deadline, budget and a customer screaming for results. Implementation becomes much less trivial.

That's cool that you're into AI. One of my majors at uni was AI, i really enjoyed it. There's some very interesting fields you can get into - kinda hard to get jobs in the interesting areas though I'm still working on that!
