Have a good xmas. smile

Not a huge fan of the consumerist hallmark part of christmas, but it's a great opportunity to see my family. Seems everyone's always so busy during the non-holidays. So, yea xmas! biggrin

And if you haven't got family nearby to visit... remember that xmas eve is one of the biggest bar nights... so go out and party for santa! wink Either way, I...

Had an exam yesterday - left studying till the morning of. blackeyed Of course, that meant I woke up at FIVE AM to cram it all in my head... ugh. Surprisingly, I managed to go out last night and have a good time despite being dead tired.

I made hummous and pita today! It's so much better home made... well the hummous anyway, the pita turned...

The room mate is GONE! He left this morning... escorted by the police.

Now, as I've ranted about, he's creepy. He talks (rather, yells down the stairs) to me like I'm an animal. Very scary. But, he's never actually been violent or threatened us*, and he was moving out at the end of the month anyway. I wasn't sure we had enough reason to kick...

Yeah Im the annoying one to, but i do TRY and watch movies. I often just space out though and whomever I was watching it with will ask me about some of the scenes later and I'll be like, "oh, they did that, huh thats funny." Im a geek ohh well. Sounds like crappy roomates are in abundance. Mines really mean (I have no idea how i became friends with a meanie or ho i thought she was sweet) but luckily im never usually on the bad end of her vents. She just tends to be really crappy to all her friends and I feel bad for them. Other than that i hardly even ever see her. Hmmm
Good luck with any new roomate/crazy person you might encounter.

So, I get a lot of penis enlargement type e-mails, all of which come from a new e-mail address, and all have strange nonsense titles. At least they're easy to spot, I guess. (Though stopping them would be better, geez. whatever )

Anyway, got an amusing one today, which I'll share with you all:
"Hw Salami in the pantts fzzurc"

Salami in the pants?! HAHAHA.

I've been mulling over the idea of, as a way of getting extra Christmas money, ordering oodles of Viagra & penis enhancement philtres thru the dozens of offers that throb & beckon in my inbox, & setting up shop next to a "Hummer" dealership as a cheaper alternative...

Yes, studying and being sick go together about as well as motor oil and ice cream. Hope for your sake you didn't come down with what I have had these past two insufferable weeks. If it is, the best thing I can suggest is Aleve cold and sinus. It's been my life preserver.

Had a great weekend! A nice quiet friday night at a friend's place... then The Fluffgirl Burlesque on Saturday. The show was great, but the best part was the great company! Twwly, Annie, fivetwo, among others... you guys rock my world. kiss

Sunday I mostly lounged around watching movies and complaining about my aching stomach. I don't know what was up, but all...

I saw "Down With Love" this weekend. I liked the 60's theme, but it was still a cheesy love story. puke

Better that "Better Luck Tomorrow" was though. There's two hours I'll never get back. tongue

Luckily, both were free and were at least entertaining thanks to good friends and good beer. wink

Last night was a strip club with Twwly, Annie, Tegan, Jezebelle, fivetwo, and others. It...

I've been fighting with a database these last few days. While it seemed to be winning the battle, new evidence has appeared that points all signs to: what I'm trying to do is not possible. HA, db, so you're not too clever for me - you're just INCAPABLE. HAHA

At this point, I'm happy with that. tongue

Hmm, weird constraints are better implemented as a trigger, I think Oracle lets you make Java triggers. Failing that, wrap the operation in a stored procedure which can then use a transaction and rollback if the constraint cannot be met.

And I'm going Bed -> Desk -> iBook since I already have a thinkpad x20, it's just that it's 3 years old now...

One day some leftover pasta ran off with some leftover meatballs and joined the circus. I later learned the star attraction (a lion) ate them both, but then was sick for a week.

I haven't written in a while. I'll try harder.

MS SQL Server does the job for me. Don't use triggers much, but rely extensively on stored procs.

Take care love

I declined a few people as friends. Why? Cause we've never spoken. So let's get some comments going first! smile

A great weekend. Friday was New Electronic. Local-ish DJs and artists playing groovin' music. + neat digital art. The venue felt like someone's cozy basement. Except with a bar. tongue It was fun++.

Basement clubs are cool - we have a couple like that over here in Leeds. Agree with you that it sort of feels like you're at a big party rather than out clubbing which is nice.

Working on one thing, with no breaks, until I reach insanity has being happening at an alarming rate lately.

Now normally, it's my own damn fault for leaving the entire project until the last minute. But these last few weeks it's just that there's *so much*. surreal surreal

I got to take a little break today though. And what did I do? Oooo, I went to Funf...

Rest is probably the biggest productivity enhancer, especially for programming. After resting, problems that looked unsolvable become walk in the parks. Long and tedious process suddenly have quick and elegant solutions, etc.

It's gotten to the point that I refuse work if it will overlap with too much rest time since my productivity and more importantly the quality of my output decreases.

I'm sure you will have similar gain when you start working again monday. Until then, the most responsible thing to do is to not give a care and party hard ;-).

How's that for a good rationalization?
