Sadly, I find this to be all too familiar. I remember going to my first "cool" show. ( Love and Rockets at the Riviera in Chicago ca. 1987. if you must know) My older "cool" friends said something to the effect of, look at how every one is expressing themselves, these people are rebels and non-comformists. blah blah blah. I looked around and EVERYONE looked exactly the same.( If I only had a trunkfull of black Bauhaus t-shirts to sell...oh well) The cool is not in what you wear, read, listen to,or even say. and it's certainly not in some pitiful attempt at hipness. It's only in what you do. Stay "cool"

I do not like labels and I do not try to be like anyone else. I am just myself all the time. People may try to put me into some sort of category but eventually they will realize they were wrong. Categories are there so clueless people can have some sort of a clue.

If I want to do something, the fact that someone has done it before me doesnt stop me. Or the fact that it has turned into a "trendy" thing wont stop me either. I do not do things to make friends or to be accepted.

Nixion, if you are unknowingly following a trend then there is nothing wrong with it. You are not being trendy just being yourself. You are the type of people that keeps thing pure and true.

I'm too scared to ask people to be my friend. I think they should just have like a favorite peeps list that way you can just bookmark all the people that interest you without having to request their friendship.
