I get this fear at night. I think it comes from my mother betraying me the way that she did.

When I was younger, I had an intense fear of monsters hiding under the bed, around the corner, in the closet, etc.. It would strike me even while I was at school. Since real monsters were introduced into my life, my fear of fake ones

According to the Dr. Who episode I watched earlier, monsters are indeed often real. But I'm doubtful there's a sonic anything handy to help vanquish them. I always think about that scene in Major Payne when he unloads into the closet. " If he's in there, he ain't happy"  In all seriousness though I'm sure she's wrong about a lot of things and this is one of them. Maybe keep a flashlight handy? Or a cool night light of some kind. Like a light saber, cause then not only is it a light but it can cut shit in half. Yeah, that's what you need light saber night light. :)    Sorry you're feeling shitty
