Besides, I like getting to know people in a more well-rounded way, and that includes the less positive aspects. Heck - I'd be worried if someone was always upbeat and happy.

This is true, I don't smoke. And no, you can't smoke inside anywhere in New York practically...Although, I went to a bar in Williamsburg the other night, and there was a cigarette machine inside (meaning you CAN smoke). It weirded me out sooo much. I suddenly thought it was five years ago...and I was a black man. The second part really had nothing to do with the cig machine, just that it was a really dark bar....
