Shots of whiskey (inspired by Deadwood) and pints of Stella Artois and Poppy Jasper.

That was my night last night. Because of that I've been convinced to go to Mezzanine this weekend, had some laughs and fun with the boy when we got home (at least I thought it was fun), and created a fabulous late night drunken culinary creation. Veggie dog wrapped up in...

Weird.

That's what the new site is. I took a few peeks at it when it was Beta, but never really rummaged through it all.

It took me a stupid amount of time to figure out how to find my bookmarks, and even then it's only three at a time. I don't like how my whole list of friends isn't up anymore.

I'd say that...

Way to come through people!

Thanks!

Now just show up, and all will be good.

Seriously, thanks for all the responses. I thank you, and Opie thanks you.

In other news...

It's Friday bitches. Where's my party?

Don't forget cupcakes! wink Speaking of cupcakes, I made my first batch of "healthy" cupcakes the other day. HORRIBLE. Ick. Soy flour, not a bakers best friend. Try, try...

sounds awesome...what time are you initiating your partying venture?
magni:
I'm lame.

I ran into Lola Suicide and went to her event at Transit. I had left the house at 10:30 am with no aim. Next time I'll call YB.

So, on Sunday, Opie is producing/directing a little film shoot about body modification. The basic premise is to focus on the reasons why people do it in, since it's largely misunderstood even in todays society.

He needs some people to volunteer to get pierced on film for a short teaser film for the project. This teaser will then be used to promote and market the...

Went to DG last night for the first time in a long time. The last time we went was for the Anniversary. It was fun, mostly because I got to just hang out and talk to friends... but the actual night was kind of a dissapointment. The music wasn't that great, and the crowd was somewhat lack luster. *sigh. Goth/Industrial clubs never live up to...

I like weddings. I like going to weddings, and being in them. I like being the bridesmaid and not the bride.

I just don't have enough friends, so I don't get to go to weddings. And I really don't have any girlfriends, so I never get to be in them.

Maybe I just like weddings for the free food and booze? And cake. I definitely...

Is this the kind of cake you were thinking of?

because I think I'm gonna have something like this at my next birthday party. If I'm lucky.

Hows the lemon ale?
I hope it is going good!! I talked to another guy who just finished... seems lilke a great idea!
By the way.... you are always invited to any of the weddings I go to! Although, it sure is weird being at someones party when you don't know anyone there..
BUT, I almost always try the cake!!
HA!

yay for good weekends. Boo for allergies.

I could not wake up this morning.

Day one of my "master cleanse" program/fast. I'm hoping it might help with my allergies. I'm not exactly sure on the science of that, but in my head it works. So there. tongue

I've stopped taking the antibiotics I was taking for my skin. They didn't work in the past, and they're...

I always THINK about doing that fast then get too hungry and wimp out!

I had several face issues and started taking L-Lysine and Evening Pimrose Oil (both you can get at Trader Joes) and honestly I stopped using my retin-A. Might want to give them both a try.

Also Lush has that Amazing Seaweed cleanser that has in the last couple of weeks cleared up any blemishes at all - I am not one to usually give advise but thought I would share since I know how frustrating it can be!
trixie:
sweatpea, if i lived there i would make you come get facials from me. I was on everything from accutane to retin A and nothing ever worked. Then i started going to an esthetician and she taught me how to really take care of my skin and not just medicate the shit out of it. Good luck!

I almost forgot that I made dinner reservations for Millennium tonight. Der. It's their annual Southern Comfort dinner. Mmmm. Vegan southern food. Sounds like an oxymoron, but they pull it off well.

DeathCab tickets went on sale yesterday. Remind me to get some. *UPDATE: tickets bought. Fucking TM and their fees though. Turning a $35 into a $46.05 Ticket. Lame. Oh, and on the music...

They charged you over TEN dollars for a fee?? God, I hate TM.

In regards to cupcakes, using applesauce instead of oil makes them heaps healthier. smile And you can always use Splenda instead of sugar.

I mean really, you can actually say you are eating FRUIT while downing a cupcake. That is so awesome. And it actually tastes really really good and makes them incredible moist.

Are you ok with using mixes or do you do them from scratch?
painangel:
Marci is just getting back from Portugal so we probably won't make it. Thanks for the invite though. smile

I've decided that I'm going to figure out a way to make cupcakes good for you. Or at least not terrible for you.

Who wants to be my cupcake eatin guinea pigs?

Kisses kiss

I'm getting to old for this partying business.

But seriously, I wanted to hang out and go to all of the afterprom events on Sunday but just couldn't get off the couch. There were a bunch of people I met that I can't remember the names of, and a bunch of people I wanted to meet that I didn't. Some that I don't even think...
