I worked customer service, and I hated it. You become the whipping post for losers who have no other sort of authority in their life. They finally get the chance to be bossy to someone, and they take it. It sucks.
Luckily, in my job now, I just get my little task list, then I retire to my cube, put on my headphones, and do it, and no one bothers me (unless I'm behind schedule, which is rare). Much better.
