I totally forgot the biggest thing that you could do with consolidation, (this espescially works if you have stuff in collections), is to make a settlement offer. The blanket settlement on most things in collections is 75% of the total balance, and if you can offer a promising sounding story to whoevers collecting, they can sometimes get it reduced to lower, (lowest I ever saw accepted was like 45%) that goes on the credit bureau as settled in full which keeps things looking a lot better. So if you are able to get a loan,(consolidation or otherwise) then you can make the settlement offer and get the thing out of your hair forever... and if you get a good arrangement set up, you could get the debt cleared in a couple of years (before I was a student I payed off about 3 grand in about 6 months)

Going back home or not is a tough decision. I nearly moved back to my mom's last year, when I was going through some really rough shit, and that would have been from NYC to Alabama (shudder). Fortunately I have great friends who helped me get the job I have now, and let me live rent-free until I was on my feet again.
I'd say stick it out as long as you can, and break your ass looking for a job, but moving back is no defeat. It's just doing what you have to do when you have to do it. And if you do have to move in with your Pop, bite your tongue! You're not allowed to fuss back at him.

i agree with saving money and getting a job, you should choose the home where you will have the most opportunity to get a good paying job, and work on getting into school. i know moving back to your pops or mom's with fuckin suck, but it will get you on your feet so you can prove yourself totally in due time. credit cards are evil, just do what you gotta do and then get back on with YOUR life as YOU want it when you debts are clear and your on your own 2 feet.

1st, I could only commit if this fantasy also insured that I would not grow tired of the one thing... if I would not grow tired... on some magic level... I know for sure it would be something sweet, but I can say no more beyond that...
to answer the second one, I would be immortal, as I will not have the couple of great ones... I am not equiped with the needed components to do this, and I am happiest when I am alone.. I have tried, but I prefer to be by myself.
