So my trip to the Dominican Republic was pretty rad. I spent time with my family, and got to know my brothers better, which was really nice. I'm glad I went. I also visited some villages populated by Haitian refugees and Dominican families... I helped operate clinics (we set up in the schoolhouse) and fed old people and met children and some truly, truly amazing...

it is absolutely true. one aspect of the situation i did not write about there, but that deeply concerns me, is the fact that the perpetrator is someone who never had the chances of either the victim or those that would reap vigilante justice. one does not have to die to be denied life.
