The absolutely wonderful Lyxzen helped me to upload the set that Cherry and I shot last year.

It goes into Member Review in September and I am SO excited.

Fears...

We all have them, right? Apparently every single person is born with two natural fears: the fear of loud noises, and the fear of falling. I read once that doctors used to make a loud noise behind a newborn babies head to test for deafness. If the baby cried, it could hear: if the baby didn't cry, it was deaf.

I guess I've got two. The first is losing my independence, whether from injury or old age. I do my damn best to take care of myself and not rely on anyone else, and if I were to lose that, I just don't know what I'd do. The second is losing myself. In my line of work, if you go down the line far enough, you spend time with the monsters that you're keeping away from the rest of society. Well as Nietzsche said, "Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become a monster."

As my mother's health has recently deteriorated due to her heart beginning to fail I'd have to say that suffering a similar incurable illness is mine, as I'd rather not know that far in advance of what I'm going to die of, it'd be terrifying and so soul destroying
