Cali is surreal is it not? I am looking forward to the end of my residency when I can move back the the east coast.
It is hard to make friends out here. I think all big cities are high on the superficialism but LA is King/Queen.
So in my little time on earth , I have frequently thought of the meaning of life. You know, I think I am going to write a journal entry on it.

i made the mistake of joining the florida national gaurd to pay for my college art degree in 2001, unfortunatly i got called up to go to afghanistan so i have been here for 8 months as a combat medic...
i'll be home in 2 1/2 to 3 months and im quitiing this shit...
and when i quit i'm thinking about moving to cali....either san diego or laguna hills, or home to NYC

You got to see Opeth for 3 hours?!?! That is freaking awesome as hell. They played for a little over 2 hours at my Raleigh show. I was in heaven to say the least. Are they not a truly special group? I hope they'll come back to the US later in the year.
