I've kept a few toysfrom my younger years, mostly Star Wars/Marvel/Transformers (none are mint mind you lol). It's funny I wherever I would move to I'd set up a couple shelves with them on it and they'd just sit there to be viewed and idolized. Then after my son was born and he was getting older he noticed them and wanted to play with them. At first I wouldn't let him, then I grudgingly allowed "loan out" only one or two at a time... but finally I realized "hey they are toys, they're meant to be played with" and have him free reign. Yes there have been a few ahem casualties over the years but the fun that's been had and memories made far outweigh a couple broken toys. The only one that's still off limits is my Transformers combiner Monstructor, and that's because parts of him suffer from "gold plastic syndrome" - some toys from the 80's that were made from a certain gold colored plastic have decayed over time and become extremely brittle. Hell even I don't touch that one since the last time I did pieces just snapped off lol.
