I have put the GE water filter spouts at my kitchen sinks at this and my last house. They're fairly inexpensive, easy to find (Home Depot) and you swap the filter every 6 months. I've found replacement filters on Amazon for cheaper than HD usually carries. I can personally vouch that it definitely makes for a better and cleaner taste, and I just use the basic system, even here in Atlanta where the pubic water is very good already. If you have the basic tools and any kind of plumbing skill, you can put this in yourself.
