Real talk. I took my nephew (he's 20) to a moderately nice studio. One that I trust and we had work done. No problem, clean studio, great artist, custom work, and fairly priced. Now for some stupid reason he's decided it's a better idea to get tattooed by one of his friends we call the "kitchen wizard" who just inherited some makeshift tattoo machine. It blows my mind how people can have really nice work and not recognize a terrible tattoo even on themselves. On the other side of the spectrum I totally agree with your bad, good, great analogy. I've been waiting all year for my appointment and can't wait to get started this month coming up. =)

An awesome lass doing awesome work.... I know if I had the money (and home) to get such awesomeness done then I would totally be in myself! Actually, I always wanted some cool artists to not only own prints from but to actually paint entire walls in my one day permanent domicile. That would be spectacular! biggrin
