i know about the nose ring thing. I'm scared to take my "straight post" out now. It seems that after a week or so the skin heals around the post and does not let it get through the hole! But the posts are so much less annoying than the screws... so I've got my post in and I just don't plan on taking it out anytime soon... everytime I did take the posts out I'd tear up. It's more painful than the actual procedure of getting the thing pierced-- it's kind of crazy.
