Ah yeah I went with Canon because I've been using their compacts for a while now.. but if you got a bunch of Nikon stuff already I wouldn't see a reason to switch, maybe pricing, some of the higher end Nikons are just so damn expensive. Do you feel like you've outgrown your current camera body then?
I got my first paid photography job!! I'm so excited! it's for my university and they're gonna pay me my normal student ambassador rate which is 6.90 p/h not bad!! I'll be doing it first week of Jan!!

I presume that a prospective calender buyer would e-mail their info to your googlemail account, and everything would be handled there.
Hugs & comfort during your troubles. I pretty much use SG to maintain contact with others whom I enjoy and just ignore the drama & issues which seem to occur. However, it is probably easier for me to ignore most of the diatribe, as I am not a model.

Oh I like that second one! I think the way the light seems to come from different directions makes the first one a bit less successful. But very interesting new avenue to explore!
I don't really have any good links with tips, but I like sites such as cgsociety.org and conceptart.org (although they're more for painting/sketching and less for photo editing). Try and search for matte painting tutorials, it involves using lots of photo material to make new images for example for film backdrops.
