I have a 21" screen, and anything smaller would be like being back in the 90s again!
I bet the short hair is easier to manage, I think I need to 'tidy' mine up soon, it's getting a little unruly (about 3/4" long, hehe.)

May i just, at this point, make it very clear that you understand that internet explorer is OF THE DEVIL!
I'll second that, FireFox is better, although the older versions did have some memory leak problems, the latest version is very good. The other option, and one I'm coming to like is Opera. A lot of the modern features of IE and FF are taken from Opera, like tabbed browsing, speed dial, rss feeds, etc.
Anyway, I don't see why IE wouldn't be working with your mouse or monitor (if you're still having that problem), hardware causing a software problem for unrelated software is something I've never come across before.
Oh, IT isn't as great as the media make it out to be, there isn't an IT skills shortage and you don't get paid as much as those stupid adverts make out

The wi-fi component burning out does sound too good, nor does the screen going black, but it could all be down to overheating due to load on the processor. How clean do you keep the hard drive, i.e. do you run anti-spyware as well as anti-virus software on it? Has it ever been formatted and had a complete fresh install of everything?

yeah it did snow round where i live for 30 min....but it was great!!!!
i opened my window to have a cig and the snow was proper layered up on cars....it was brilliant....
