I was a ovo-lacto vegetarian for 23 years. *Per three Doctor's orders I had to eat dead animal flesh for at least a year* The only foods available for me at soirees was the store bought tray of cherry tomatoes, broccoli and celery with ranch dip. I don't like celery and not into ranch dip. That left me with a handfull of tomatoes and broccoli. I'm alergic to nuts and mango ... I missed out on many desserts

02/24/09 I was in the hospital and on morphine for a week; that's when I ate dead flesh for the first time in 23yrs. When home I couldn't look at what I was eating for months. Gross I followed the doctors orders and I've recovered 100%

I have not gone back ovo-lacto yet. I will eat salmon and chicken soup and had a slice of turkey at Thanksgiving. My hair and nails are noticeably healthier and that's what holding me back
