so I went in to the strore to talk to my ex boss, but she was out sick. I made an appointment to see her on monday. I was hoping she would call me before then, so I didnt have to drive all the way there. we'll see how it all plays out....

I'm curious in part because I had a bad work experience way back I wish I had gotten better closure on. It was ages ago, I had gotten a job at a very small bakery/cafe down the hill from where I lived. I had no experience but, they stuck me in the opening shift, the busiest of the day, just the same. I was earning minimum wage and the cafe was always steaming hot from all the baking that had gone on in the wee hours. The icing on the cake however, was the manager. Unless I asked people, no one showed me anything and whenever I asked her a question regarding my duties she would go off on me much like she did at least half the staff every day. In all my life, there is no one I would be more justifed calling a bitch and worse then her. She was always sullen and yelling at people for every little thing. She was like an evil Disney character.
Well, one day I had had enough. I asked her a question about stocking the front counter since no one had shown me that either, mind you I had only been there a week and a half, and she, in her usual fashion, proceeded to make me feel like I was some big retard. I lost it and as she walked away I more or less told her "well excuse me for trying to learn my job here. I won't bother you ever again."
When I look back at that moment, I wish I had quit instead and thrown my apron back in her face but, I didn't. I worked my shift and at the end was fired, beaten to the punch. I later called back and got the owner on the phone. He was a nice guy and when I asked told me I was fired because I just wasn't working out. I bit my tongue and didn't mention the lack of training or how much of a bitch his manager was, considering her reputation in our small town, I imagine he already knew, I just thanked him and hung up.

Oh, big time! In the end, while I didn't get to the chance to quit, she did do me a favor. The job really sucked and I should have known better considering that this place had a major tunrover problem and during my interview, the owner kept mentioning steps that were taken to protect the stror against bad employees and nothing about making the cafe a nice place to work in. It was a learning experience and as much as I wanted to tell my manager off I can look back now, remember what kind of person she was and realize she was already punishing herself.

and a hug, HapSO I got a new job thankfully. I start tomorrow at the Chestnuthill coffee shop. A job full of temptation. 
I'm going to go in to the hydroponic store next week and speak to my boss (she's been on vacation). Not to ask for my job back, but just to let her know that those were lies. For my own personal satisfaction.
