I had a really nice, relaxing weekend.
Friday night I planned on staying in with my booze and shells n' cheese and whatnot, but then my friend Jen showed up and persuaded me to go to Koji for sushi with her and our friend Paul. After dinner we walked back to my apartment, drank beer and got stoned and watched 3 straight hours of Law...

Ace Of Base 0wns!
This morning while I was buying cigarettes, some pathetic imbecile of a man approached me and said, "Hey, shouldn't you be in school?" I said "No, I'm a freshman in college, school doesn't start for me until the 30th." He said, "Ohhh, I thought you were like, in middle school or something." He then proceeded to ask for my number. What a smooooooth motherfucker. Telling...

It's Friday night and you're dead skint. So you find yourself watching network TV, eating a bowl of shells 'n' cheese.... and downing a sixer of Fat Tire. Good to see you have your priorities straight! When attempting to manage a tight budget, many things can be skimped on, though quality brew should never be sacrificed.

Yeah, Signs wasn't a perfect film, but I thought the aliens were effective in their own way. That scene of grainy news footage, when those south american kids freak out, made my hair stand on end. The director is almost too smooth for his films own good, but i like his intentions. If you want to see a really freaky film, you should come with me, vdrak80 and jumping spider, to see Warm Water Under a Red Bridge, at Koin tomorrow @ 7. (or maybe 9:40) We're real low-key people, just film lovers, and you're welcome to join us. I know Jumping Spider has written to you before, so you kind of already know him. Let us know if you're into it. And don't worry about being broke, we can cover ya!
Ugh. It's hot today. I generally love this weather, but usually by this time, at least in Portland, it starts to get chilly and the leaves start to change. I want Fall to be here, so I can start wearing sweaters and boil tea in my croc-pot in true collegiate form. word.

I'm already sick of this day. Every time I turn on the T.V, my regularly scheduled program is being interrupted to show pictures of dead people. I don't care how selfish or insensitive that sounds, I'm sick of all this 9/11 shit. I'm not arguing this wasn't a huge major global event. It was! It just didn't have near the impact of either World War...

I personally look over all the media coverage as I do most media coverage of anything and take it for what I can. Which is historically this is a huge event because yes we had never had an attack on mainland US soil. Historically it is a major point. A do completely agree with you that there are atrocities happening all over the world that I feel require MUCH more attention but I don't think because of that this is something to be ignored. Do I agree with killing many innocent people so as to wash the blood out of the simple minds of most Americans? No. Do I agree with going after a scapegoat to fulfill that sense of vengeance? No. I am always one to try and create positive from negativity so I would say lets just try to make sure these sorts of things won't happen any more. If that means accepting that our governing body has done some horrible things that we the public have to deal with. I accept that and have always accepted that we live in a pretty fucked up country. Relative to other places it isnt so bad. I think this incident does touch us all in different ways though. My sister lives in New York. She is the most important thing to me in the world and I couldn't fathom the thought of losing her. Because of all this I fear for her. That doesnt mean that I will give up my privacy as I am a staunch civil libertarian. We must must must protect our civil rights and not let our fucked up governing body blind us with images of catastrophe.

I love that you speak your mind so freely.... I admire that quality. I don't meet many people that are as blunt as myself and it is kinda frustrating cause you never really know if someone is just saying things to please present company or if they really mean it.
I'm never good enough for anybody.
I'm always too young, or too quiet, or too sarcastic, etc.
It's getting really tiring.

I went back to a city that I'd lived in in my early twenties & ended up talking to a few women that I'd had excruciating crushes on but was too shy to really DO anything about it.
turns out it was kind of a two-way street, as far as shyness goes.
a well-developed sense of sarcasm is one of the sexiest things I can think of (it won't get you many friends, but it'll get you a few good ones)
as far as being too young...you'll grow out of it, eh?

Was awaken at 8:30 a.m. this morning by the AT&T cable internet fellows. I had no idea they were coming, because my "friendly local AT&T representitive" never fucking called me back and confirmed a time. Thanks dude.
Anyways, they weren't able to hook up the internet because of a "misroute", so now it will be 2-3 weeks until I have internet in my apartment.

naughty!
Having a hard time getting someone out of my head. Sometimes he makes me feel like the happiest girl in the world, but most of the time he [unintentionally] makes me feel like shit.
I know I should forget about him and move on, but it's easier said than done.
Other than that, life moves on. I found a...

Are you sure he's unintentionally making you feel like shit? Boys can be funny like that.

It seems like the more we get ignored, the more we want. Nice little trick we play on ourselves. Like life wasn't tough enough........
Applied for work/study jobs on campus today. Ugh. As bad as I need to feed myself, I don't know if I can sit in a stuffy little office all day and file unpaid tuition bills nonstop for $7.00/hr.
My friend Naomi says this is a sign that I should throw in the towel at getting any sort of job on campus, and start dancing at...

you'd probably make more money just waitressing...i know this doesn't sound all that appetizing either but, i have had a couple friends say that delivering pizza can bring in some good tips...they were both making over $10/hour...and they had the freedom to drive around and get away from the oven...and...i saw today that hot lips pizza is hiring...anyway's there's some other jobs out there too...the one time i went to an underage strip joint the place was filled with the worst tippers i have ever seen...one of the strippers (she was definately my favorite) had to slap her ass, <HARD> repeatedly while repeating in a load voice to "Give me money you cheap assholes!!!"..and i hate to say it, but it really didn't work...but i don't know, it could have just been a bad night...~A

I'm gonna be doing work-study, too.
I figure if it gets me a few extra bucks to make my spare time a little less miserable, so be it. Resume material is good anyway,
Not to sound all positive, or anything.

I moved in yesterday.
While pulling my dresser out of the back of the truck it slipped out of my grip and broke. Lame.
But other than that, stuff is good. I'm at my Mom's right now to do laundry and use the computer, I'm ready for Labor Day to be over so I can get my phone and internet hooked up.

Good luck with all that.
I had sushi for lunch again today, but this time with my friend Charles.
Afterwards we got baked, and in a moment of complete stoner ineptitude decided to replace bongwater with Saki, which is a japanese rice wine.
It actually works pretty well.
Who woulda thought?
I move out tomorrow, which means I won't be online much until the retards at AT&T decide to install...

"Saki Bongwater" would be an excellent name for a real estate agent who Fights Crime using Psychic Powers in her Spare Time.
