Ahhh, winter. Not a fan of it. I've always liked the 'endless summer' concept. I usually contemplate running off to Hawaii/California/the Mediterranean/a Greek island/an island in the Pacific or Indian Oceans/anywhere warm and escaping winter hell ~100x/day in winter.

Theres an easy way to deal with the long distance company. Act interested talk them all the way through everything, barter and ask to talk to a manager see what schemes they offer and then just say "maybe not today, but whenever you feel like wasting money on a call give me a ring" and put the phone down. They will blacklist you as a time-waster instead of keeping you under "hopefull". I used to work 12 hour shifts in a factory i managed to get home just in time for the dawn chorus every morning. Thats an alarm clock thats hard to kill
